Removing Stickers From Wooden Surfaces
MATERIALS
Baking soda
Olive oil
STEPS
Mix one part baking soda with one part olive oil.
Cover the sticker in the mixture and let it sit for five minutes.
Wipe away the mixture and peel off the stickers.

MATERIALS
Felt (or repurposed cloth-like material)
String
Marker
Scissors
One-hole punch
Rope (or cord)
STEPS
Fold felt into quarters.
Tie string around a marker. Hold the end of the string at the center corner of the folded material and use the marker to trace and arch. With the felt still folded, cut along the arch with scissors to create a circle.
Use a one-hole punch to make holes around the circumference of the circle.
Thread cord through the holes. Knot the ends of the cord to secure.
Washing Toys In The Dishwasher
MATERIALS
Mesh laundry bag
STEPS
Place plastic toys* into a mesh laundry bag and wash on the sanitize cycle.
*Do not do this with battery-operated toys.
Remove Playdough From Carpet
MATERIALS
Stiff brush
Vacuum
Mild soap
STEPS
Let playdough dry completely.
Peel off what you can from the carpet, then use the stiff brush to brush off the smaller bits of playdough.
Vacuum away the dried playdough.
If the carpet is stained, wash it with a bit of mild soap and cool water.
Repeat steps as necessary.
Non-Toxic Car Cleaner
MATERIALS
Spray bottle
Scrub brush
Towel
½ cup distilled white vinegar
1 cup club soda
½ cup nontoxic dish soap
¼ cup lemon juice
STEPS
Pour all liquids into a bottle and lightly shake the bottle to mix the ingredients.
Spray a moderate amount the the mixture onto an upholstered surface.
Scrub the area with a brush until clean. Repeat steps 2 & 3 as necessary.
Rinse out the mixture with water, and dry the area with a clean towel.
