Rob Allen is interviewed to discuss Customer Retention & Acquisition For Carpet Cleaners. TruckMountForums 1st in the Series of Dash2Dash interviews that will discuss carpet cleaning topics, trends, marketing and best practices. House Call Pro interviews Rob Allen in the 1st series. Almost every carpet cleaner I have met makes this HUGE mistake. They feel like they did the job and the client will back when ready. Guess what? Some will but many won’t. How can I say that? They will do one of two things;
1-They will call you but may wait a year or more putting off the cleaning because they are busy
2- They will think to call you but time has faded their memory of your service and they shop around before calling you
Now this is a trap you do NOT and do NOT have to be stuck in. To do so you must market your past clients vigorously,systematically and regularly. In our industry it is imperative to outline strategic marketing efforts to the audience that you have “already” captured. Your past clients are a “goldmine” and your best resource for new cineast. So marketing to the should be your primary focus. So many cleaners or service providers stop after the cleaning when this should be just the beginning! You must remember your clients year round and without fail. Follow-up and consistent contact have the potential to open new doors and profits you only dreamed about. Like those that dream about gold, work this goldmine!
Here is a little video to get you underway. In follow up articles I will share how to develop a system and how we work our client base. Enjoy!
