I would always check the exterior of the machine prior to going inside. Make sure you have a full container of water, make sure the water canister valve is not clogged or blocked. Check to make sure there is no blockage where the water enters your machine. If your troubleshooting has brought you to the inside of your machine, one of the more common problems is build up inside your heater core / heating core element. This is the part that warms the water. As this core warms the water it leaves behind the mineral deposits which slowly accumulate and can eventually clog the unit. Here I have have taken apart the heater core and show you all the junk that had clogged the water flow and caused this unit to not spray solution. This is not corrosion but hard water deposits. These should be cleaned away. If this is not the issue then I would check the pump. Hopefully this helps in someway and you are able to get the carpet clean. I know if you have a big spill and need it right away and it isn’t working it is a big pain, so best of luck. If your afraid to work on it because you won’t be able to get it back together, just remember the worst case scenario is you take it all apart and can’t fix it and you have to go buy a new one, which is what you were going to probably go do anyway! 🙂
Best of luck!
