2 Tbsp Laundry Soap (HE)
1/4 C. LA’S Awesome All Purpose Cleaner
1 Scoop LA’S Oxy Cleaner
1 tsp. Fabric Softener

Combine all ingredients and mix well to dissolve Oxy Clean powder (Add hot water to help dissolve)
Pour mixture into carpet shampooer tank and fill tank to capacity with water (Or pre dilute in a gallon container and further dilute to your preference as the original creator’s blog suggests, see link below)

Best EVER Homemade Carpet Cleaner Solution

Some carpet shampooer manuals say to only use their brand of cleaner in the machine and using anything else can void the warranty. If this concerns you, do not use this recipe. My machine is a few years old and no longer under warranty so I am okay with using other things in it. I have also not had any problems with the hoses, valves, or seals on my machine since using this solution.

The residents of this apartment hired us to clean their carpets after being written up for overall cleanliness. This was a cleaning that was negotiated down by the customer to save money and is a no frills cleaning. They did not wish to pay for spot treatments, and only wanted a general basic cleaning, against our advise for a more intensive one. But the customer is always right so we did what we could with pre-spray and extraction only. In future, if they want us to, we can do spot treatment to get even better results, but for now, this is what we did…
