Removing the dry soils prior to cleaning your rug is a high priority in cleaning rugs correctly. All these dry soils are abrasive and can damage the rug fibres. At Cheshire Rug cleaning rugs are all cleaned professionally and with the up most care.

This is a wool area rug I have cleaned at least once a year since it was purchased 10 years ago. It is under a dining table and is a very active household with grandkids and many gatherings. There is no concern for the floor beneath as the carpet is not over saturated and as the carpet has been cleaned repeatedly by Oxy-Dry any possible problems would have appeared by now but non have as this system works so well without any concerns. This video shows us using one of the many attachments available to clean but we have have various ones available for different carpet fibre types and lengths and will choose the one best suited for each carpet. The unique use of aqueous ozone by the Oxy-Dry process ensures the carpet is deep cleaned without overwetting. The water based ozone charged solution (ozone is a form of oxygen, see our website for more info) penetrates deep into the carpet fibre without saturating and the ozone is attracted to and destroys all germ, bacteria and viruses on contact. It also bonds to oils and soils but in doing so it destroys the molecular bond breaking down the soil and reverting it to its base elements. Soils that may not be removed with the initial cleaning continue to be removed after the fact with subsequent vacuuming. Our customers often tell us that not only did the carpet look great when first done, it continued to improve in the weeks following and stayed clean longer than other methods. Oxy-Dry is the deep clean thats drier than steam. It will dry within one hour and will be resistant to resoiling, there is no risk of shrinking, distortion, bleeding or damage to the fibres. The Oxy-Dry system is safe for wool area rugs and can be used when the rug is either on a wood floor or on another carpet.
