MATERIALS LIST:
To create your design — rug, stencils or stickers, spray paint, stencil adhesive spray
To protect your borders — painter’s tape, newspaper
To lock in the color — clear acrylic coating or clear spray paint
TIPS & TRICKS:
1. Make sure that any stencil, sticker, or piece of tape is completely flat before painting. This is the most important step! Beware of gaps and bubbles.
2. Wash your rug before you paint. Any dirt/residue on the surface will cause the paint to adhere unevenly.
3. Lock in the color with a spray sealant like a clear acrylic coating or clear spray paint.
4. Made a mistake? Use Goo Gone to clean up lines or remove paint smudges. Just let it soak into the rug and scrub it away!
