What is The Best Pore Vacuum Cleaner?

There’s a weird enjoyment that comes from using pore strips and examining all the gunk they yank out of your skin. It’s strangely fascinating. Sadly, pore strips are not great for your skin’s health (apparently, that whole stick-and-rip mechanism does a ton of damage to the healthy skin cells on your face.

Fortunately, now there’s a tool that’ll help keep your skin clear and healthy while fulfilling your guilty-pleasure need to see the blackhead removal in action. It’s called the 17 Diamond Peeling Facial Pore Cleanser, and it appears to be even more satisfying than your go-to Bioré Pore Strips. As Refinery 29 reports, the high-tech tool uses air pressure—sort of like a vacuum— to literally suck the blackheads out of clogged pores. The pore vacuum includes several different settings, so you can customize the strength of the suction to suit your needs (more air pressure for stubborn blackheads; less for super sensitive or easily bruised skin). As you can see in the video below, the device also sucks out oil and dirt and appears to avoid damaging the surrounding skin. And, yeah, it’s damn satisfying to watch. Though the product has apparently been around for some time (the video’s caption describes the device as the “3rd generation blackhead remover vacuum”), it’s just started to pick up steam in the U.S. beauty world. In the past few weeks, several bloggers have posted their own test videos and reviews of the product. And overall, the consensus is that the weird, glowing, blue vacuum works pretty well.

The disgusting joy of pimple-popping videos is well-documented. The best ones (read: the most horrifying) usually get views because they feature a professional dermatologist, like Dr. Pimple Popper, or because the zits in question are catastrophic cysts requiring a scientific curiosity of just what’s inside there. Are you nauseated yet?

The latest video making the rounds isn’t popular because of a particularly shocking blemish. Instead, the clip demonstrates how a pore-cleansing tool works. It slides along the skin very much like a vacuum—pulling up the delicate face skin the way your at-home hoover would pull up your rug—and it just seems so insanely satisfying.

And yes, okay, there is that one money shot of sebum exploding out of a pore. It wouldn’t be a skin video without it.

The tool is for sale here for just , but it appears to be a generic, drug-store product, like of like those mini-shavers that informercials claim can get rid of women’s facial hair (we think you’d probably get stubble two days in but hey, whatever works for you!).

Commenters on this site seem pretty pleased with their purchase of the skin vacuum. “Battery operated and good for DIY. Works really great. Thank you,” writes Beatrice. Good for you, Beatrice! We bet you’ve really stepped up your staring-in-the-magnifying-mirror-at-your-nose-before-bed game.

lackheads form on the surface of the skin and are caused by the buildup of dead skin particles, dirt and oils from the sebaceous gland. The development of blackheads often results in inflammation and infection that can lead to pimples. One remedy for removing blackheads is to suck the debris out of the pores with a blackhead vacuum extractor. Many of these devices are similar, but the ones listed here have been recommended and rated to work well by consumers.

Panasonic EH2511A

The Panasonic EH2511A Pore Cleanser with Micro-fine Mist was recommended by most users in an Amazon.com survey, with few exceptions. This product, retailing for about , uses a reversible suction cup to clear debris from the pores to eliminate blackheads. A mist sprayer is also attached to the device that keeps the skin moist by spraying a pore cleaner on the skin to help maintain better suction. This feature is unique to this model, but it may be no better than manually wetting and washing your face before using another model.

The device is rechargeable, safe to use in wet or dry conditions and can be submerged in water.
Stonefield Blackhead Vacuum Extractor

To operate the device, choose one of three sizes of extractor tips depending on the size of the blackhead or pimple to be treated and press in the plunger of the syringe until it clicks into place. Put the tip over the desired blackhead or pimple and hold the outside of the device chamber and press it against your skin. This pressure releases a spring-loaded vacuum to pull the debris out of the pore instantly.
Prep And Prevention

Before using any vacuum blackhead remover, it’s recommended that you take a hot shower or steam your face. The heat and moisture will open the pores, making it easier to extract the blackheads. To prevent future outbreaks, use skin pore cleansers and wash your face regularly with warm water and antibacterial facial soap.
